Quality Assurance Policy

Our Quality Standards

Zero-Defect Quality Control

Underwriters & ISI Standard Safety Codes

At Tirupati Cable, quality is not just an afterthought; it is integrated into every phase of our manufacturing lifecycle. Every meter of copper wire drawn and sheathed in our Bawana, Delhi facility goes through rigorous inspections to guarantee safety and compliance with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

Our in-house testing laboratory is equipped with calibrated testing machinery to measure mechanical, thermal, and electrical performance parameters. This allows us to issue Test Certificates (TC) for every batch shipped to our B2B commercial purchasers.

Quality Assurance Testing Protocols

Online High-Voltage Spark Test

100% of our extrusion lines feature online high-voltage spark testers to detect any insulation pinholes or micro-ruptures instantly during production.

Thermal Resistance Test

Cables are tested in special ovens at elevated temperatures to confirm the PVC insulation does not crack, deform, or lose dielectric strength.

Flame Retardancy Checks

Conducted using Oxygen Index and Flammability testers to ensure the PVC compound resists propagation and self-extinguishes during shorts.

Tensile & Elongation Test

Both copper conductors and PVC jackets are tested for maximum breaking load and elongation percentage to withstand heavy pulls during wiring.

Conductor Resistance Test

Measured using Kelvin Double Bridges to confirm that resistivity aligns with IS 8130 standards, maximizing electricity delivery efficiency.

Dimensional Wall Thickness

Precision micrometer measurements check the thickness of the insulation jacket, ensuring uniformity and avoiding thin spots.

Source Integrity

Premium Grade Raw Materials

A high-quality cable is only as good as the raw materials that go into it. That is why we maintain strict supplier guidelines:

  • 99.97% Pure Copper: We source only electrolytic grade bare or tinned copper cathodes to guarantee maximum current capacity and low resistance.
  • High-Grade Virgin Polymers: We use specialized PVC formulations that contain flame retardant (FR) and low smoke (FRLS) compounds for superior fire resistance.
  • Galvanized Steel Armor: For underground distribution grids, we apply round galvanized steel wire armor to provide mechanical reinforcement against crushes.
